Day Training: let us train your dog for you
Traditional coach-style dog training consists of giving the dog's family the skills to train the behaviors themselves. Because the trainer is only present once a week or every few weeks, the pressure is on the client to learn the skills required to help their dog succeed. This can be daunting and not everyone has the time, energy or desire to do all the work themselves. After all, certified professional dog trainers work for years and have hundreds of hours of experience and education; why not have them work for you?
If the thought of dedicating so much time to working through your dog's issues seems overwhelming or you just want results FASTER, Day Training is for you. |

How it Works
|
The trainer will work with your dog(s) during the week for a preset number of days either in your home or theirs (we call this Day Camp!), or perhaps take your dog on a "field trip" to various locations to work on proofing behaviors depending on your training goals. Our mission during this time is to get reliable, solid behaviors, getting the foundation work out of the way, so that the hardest part is done for you. At the end of each week there will be a transfer session, where you will be updated on your dog's progress and instructed on how to maintain what he or she has learned. This is crucial to your dog's training success. After the program is completed, there will be one or two follow-up sessions to address any questions that arise and provide troubleshooting.
Because you do not need to be present for this training, it can even be utilized during periods of time where your dog would otherwise be left alone to break it up and provide a midday potty break! You must complete an Initial Consultation prior to beginning day training. |
What Will My Dog Learn?
These sessions can be used for many things. These are just a few options:
Basic Manners: loose leash walking, sit, down, stay, recall, addressing common problem behaviors like jumping or barking |
Behavior problems: reactivity, general anxiety, separation anxiety, fear issues, some aggression |
Puppy Preschool: socialization, body handling, basic training -- we can help your puppy get started right! |
