STELLAR PETS TRAINING & BEHAVIOR

Drop-off Training: let us train your dog for you

Traditional coach-style dog training consists of giving the dog's family the skills to train the behaviors themselves. Because the trainer is only present once a week or every few weeks, the pressure is on the client to learn the skills required to help their dog succeed. This can be daunting and not everyone has the time, energy or desire to do all the work themselves. After all, certified professional dog trainers work for years and have hundreds of hours of experience and education; why not have them work for you?

If the thought of dedicating so much time to working through your dog's issues seems overwhelming or you just want results FASTER, let us train your dog for you!

Before we had our own location, Day Training and Day Camps were our primary way of this training style, but now that we have our own home, we're ready to take on drop-off clients!

How it Works

The trainer will work with your dog(s) during the week in our facility on training and proofing behaviors depending on your training goals. Our mission during this time is to get reliable, solid behaviors, getting the foundation work out of the way, so that the hardest part is done for you. Every fourth session will be a transfer session, where you will be updated on your dog's progress and instructed on how to maintain what he or she has learned. This is crucial to your dog's training success. You can have maintenance sessions at any time after completing your program as "refreshers" for your dog.

This is NOT "board-and-train" and sessions last an hour. Feel free to shop or run your errands while we work with your dog. Your dog can stay with us longer as needed, for an additional charge.

You must complete an Initial Consultation prior to beginning drop-off training. This is crucial for us to get to know you, your dog, your goals, and to develop the right plan for you.

What Will My Dog Learn?

These sessions can be used for many things. These are just a few options:
Basic Manners: loose leash walking, sit, down, stay, recall, addressing common problem behaviors like jumping or barking
Behavior problems: reactivity, general anxiety, separation anxiety, fear issues, some aggression
Puppy Preschool: socialization, body handling, basic training -- we can help your puppy get started right!
